At the 12th minute, Nobre awarded a controversial penalty for the hosts as Lamine Yamal seemed to dive inside the box. At the 87th minute, the official once again called a questionable penalty for a slight contact between Beraldo and Carvajal.
The match saw another penalty kick at the 96th minute (for the visiting team), although this time the decision seemed correct. Nevertheless, social media was flooded with memes about the different penalties awarded at the Bernabéu.
Whether it was about the referee’s actions or the players’ behavior, fans had something to say about what happened in the Spanish capital.
