Midfielder André will be out of Fluminense for an indefinite period. The player was diagnosed on Friday (26) with an injury to his right knee.
André had the problem in the game last Thursday, against Cerro Porteño, in the Copa Libertadores. The good news is that the athlete will not have to undergo surgery.

The midfielder has already returned to Rio de Janeiro to start the treatment. Fluminense detailed the injury suffered by the athlete.
“Midfielder André was diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament injury to his right knee, after an imaging exam. The anterior cruciate ligament is preserved, as well as the meniscus. The athlete will start his treatment at the CTCC,” said the club from Rio.
There was a fear that André would be out of Fluminense for the rest of the season. However, this will not happen. Nevertheless, the club from Rio did not release a deadline for the midfielder’s return to the pitch. André even left the stadium on Thursday on crutches.
The injury incident occurred in the first half of the game against Cerro Porteño, at 43 minutes. André tried to shoot on goal, but had a clash with the opposing midfielder. Soon after, the Fluminense player fell to the ground, complaining of a lot of pain.
When he was substituted by Lima, André left the field crying. On social media, Fluminense sent a message of support to the midfielder.
“May it not be anything serious, André! We are with you in this!”, Fluminense wrote on X.
