French striker Kylian Mbappe has admitted that the presence of Neymar at Paris Saint Germain provided “extra motivation” for him to join the club from Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
The 19-year old is one of the most sought after attacking talents in the world and elected to join PSG on transfer deadline day. The teenager admitted that the capture of Brazilian forward Neymar earlier in the summer informed his decision.
“Playing with Neymar is something extraordinary, we all know the player that he is. Playing for PSG already interested me, but certainly buying him was an extra boost,” he told TV channel Telefoot.
“The great players have made history in their countries, either by the national team or by their clubs. I want to make history in my city and PSG is really a project that allows me to continue to evolve by playing here.”
