Barça’s salary limit, a possible enemy for Vitor Roque for the 24/25 season

Barça registered Vitor Roque for only six months and the club will have to free up space in its salary bill to once again face its registration in LaLiga.

When Vitor Roque arrived at Barça, the club used a clause in the LaLiga regulations that allowed it to commit to freeing up the salary space necessary to fully register the player next summer.

It is thanks to this that Vitor Roque, like, for example, Johnny Cardoso, a Betis footballer who arrived from Internacional de Porto Alegre, could be registered in LaLiga for only six months, but unlike the American from the green and white team, who immediately consolidated and became key in the team, Barça faces a big doubt with the re-registration of Vitor Roque.

Barça will have to re-register Vitor Roque in the summer

The Catalan club must make the salary space (with sales or renewals with lower salaries) necessary to re-register this 19-year-old footballer with a lot of projection and with a relatively low salary.

However, in the eyes of the competition, Vitor Roque is not only that, but a foreign player (non-EU) who will cost the Catalan team around 61 million euros, so the salary space that Barça must make must be according to the total amount of the operation.

As stated by Diario Sport , this could be a problem for a Barça that will be forced to sell pieces in the summer to re-register players, face renewals and, if the conditions are met, be able to sign.

Is it worth re-registering Vitor Roque?

This opens an internal debate within the Barça board, since, considering that Vitor Roque has barely played just over 300 minutes so far this season, is it worth making financial sacrifices to sign him up? The recent statements by Xavi, who did not rule out giving up Vitor Roque, could give us a clue regarding this idea.

The Catalan strategist assured that, in the case of Vitor Roque, the decision about his future would be purely sporting, since he hinted that they would only let him leave so that he can gain more confidence and experience in another league or team.

However, these words could also show that there are doubts in the sports management about his continuity due to this economic problem that could make his re-registration in LaLiga difficult.

If Barça sells players to register Vitor Roque, and then does not give him the necessary training and minutes, is it really worth registering him? Although the player’s entourage and Vitor himself would rule out the option of loaning him to avoid another “Keirrison case” of failed transfers, the Catalan club does not rule out anything.

What will happen to Vitor Roque? Only time, and Barça’s sports management, will tell.
