Brazil left-back Filipe Luis has praised Brazil coach Tite for making every player feel included in the group and the Atleti man is keen to learn from his mentor. The Seleção have won all 9 qualifiers that Tite has been in charge for.

Luis has mainly provided back-up for Marcelo in the 12 months that Tite has been in charge, but the player says he feels just as much a part of the group as every other player. “He makes every player feel part of the group, playing or not.

“I want to be a coach and learn from him. Whenever I come to the national team, I feel that my football improves. There are things I learn and take back to my club. There is an absolute harmony here,” he remarked.

Luis feels that there is still a shared responsibility in the team, despite the presence of star player Neymar, “The weight is shared among the whole team. Is Neymar our best player? No doubt and I think it is among the top three in the world.

“But, nowadays, we have other players in great form, like Coutinho, Willian and Gabriel Jesus. Without this weight, Neymar can play with joy and the biggest beneficiary is Brazil.

“When the team is in a difficult phase and starts to win, it regains confidence. The harmony between the coaches, players and fans is total, but the most difficult thing is to maintain that excellent moment. We will only achieve that with victories and the humility to keep our heads.”
