Manchester United full-back Rafael da Silva has spoken of his love of attacking from full-back, but admits he must still work on his defending.
Rafael, 22, is now the Red Devils" first-choice at right-back and has shown his potential in attacking areas with some vibrant displays. However, there are still many who doubt his defensive qualities.
The former Fluminense youngster explainted to United Review: "When I was younger, I played as a striker. I like heading the ball and it was great to score [against Fulham] – it was a really good cross by Ashley [Young] and I was in a good position. I enjoy getting forward – I just love football!"
However, despite his love of attacking and scoring, the Olympic silver medallist admits that he must continue to improve at the other end of the pitch.
"Of course, as a player you can always improve something. I think I need to improve my defending and I have said this since I arrived here," he added. “I keep working hard at that and I will keep working to try and improve."
