It was two years of Minas Gerais dominance in the Brazilian Championship. Or rather, two years of Cruzeiro’s dominance, which clinched back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014. This season marks the 10th anniversary of Raposa’s last title, and Sambafoot recalls the details. Check them out below.

The head coach of the team that won the Brazilian Championship title for two consecutive years was Marcelo Oliveira. A decade ago, the Cruzeiro squad included names like Dagoberto, Júlio Baptista, Marcelo Moreno, along with standouts Everton Ribeiro and Ricardo Goulart.

Records Broken

In that year, the celestial team made history by reaching 80 points in the competition, surpassing São Paulo, the previous record holder. Number of Victories

Raposa had an extremely solid campaign to secure the Brazilian back-to-back title in 2014. To give you an idea, Cruzeiro also surpassed São Paulo in terms of the number of victories, reaching 24 in that Brasileirão edition.
