The third edition of the Women’s Supercup set a new attendance record for the competition this Sunday (18). The victory of Corinthians over Cruzeiro at the Neo Química Arena in São Paulo was watched by 33,175 fans. In front of a packed stadium, the São Paulo team secured the title for the third time in the competition, which kicks off the national women’s football calendar.

The final of all three editions of the tournament was held at the Neo Química Arena, showing the increasing interest of the public with each edition. In 2022, the final saw 19,547 people in the stands of the stadium. On that occasion, Corinthians’ Brabas defeated Grêmio 1-0. In 2023, 25,799 spectators watched Corinthians beat Flamengo 4-1.

Brazil is a candidate to host the 2027 World Cup. The country is competing with two joint bids: United States/Mexico and Germany/Netherlands/Belgium. FIFA will announce the winner in May at the Congress to be held in Thailand.
