Resilient during the lowest point of this season, Raphinha managed to turn the spotlight on himself through outstanding performances, such as last week’s brace against PSG in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. In this context, it is not surprising that other big teams want to sign him, just as it is not surprising that FC Barcelona is reluctant to let him go so easily.

According to the Catalan outlet Sport, Barça rejected a concrete offer of 60 million euros from a Premier League team. The report does not specify which club made the proposal, but it does state that the decision is not to sell him for less than 80 million euros.

In the last transfer window, there were several mentions of interest from Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester United in signing the Brazilian. The winger left a good impression during his time at Leeds and would not need a period of adaptation to the English football he already knows.

There were also talks of more lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, including from Neymar’s Al Hilal. This is considering the FC Barcelona’s need to generate a significant amount of money to alleviate its financial pressures.

However, coach Xavi has always supported Raphinha, giving him the starting position even during times of great scrutiny. This gamble has paid off, despite having alternatives such as Lamine Yamal, who is now a fixture on the right side of the attack, in addition to João Félix and Ferran Torres.
