Al Nassr announces departure of Brazilian Luiz Gustavo

Al Nassr club announced that it was parting ways with three players: Spanish defender Álvaro González, Saudi full-back Hamad and Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo, a former player for Bayern Munich and the Brazilian National Team.

These players were coming to the end of their contract and did not see their contract renewed. Luiz Gustavo, who will turn 36 this month, is leaving the club after just one season. In 32 games, he scored five goals and provided four assists. To replace him, Al Nassr recruited the Croatian Brozovic, who played at Inter Milan.

Defender Álvaro González, a former Olympique de Marseille player where he was accused of racism by Neymar, is also leaving Al Nassr after one season. At 33, he has scored one goal in 25 games for the club. As for full-back Hamad, 30, he had been a member of the team for two seasons.

Al Nassr targets Fofana to strengthen its workforce, but Ziyech fails

In addition to the arrival of Brozovic, new coach Luís Castro is looking to complete the transfer of Seko Fofana, midfielder from Lens, vice-champion of France. The club was also about to sign Moroccan striker Ziyech from Chelsea, but the latter was rejected during the Saudi club’s medical examinations.
