How was the match

The start of the game was overwhelming. The national team marked the ball out of Chile and acted with speed. After just 4 minutes, Nycole crossed from the right and Gabi Nunes anticipated the defense to finish with a header. Goalkeeper Canales stretched out, but did not avoid the goal.

Nycole had the advantage over her opponents with her technique and physical preparation and got along well with Geyse and Gabi Nunes in the attack. Meanwhile, Chile’s defense struggled.

At 28 minutes, Antonia was the one who crossed, again from the right, and Duda Sampaio, in the middle of the area, headed with style to enlarge. No defense for Canales. The score of 2 to 0 summarized the superiority of the Brazilian team.

Chile tried something on the counterattacks, but ran into the good performance of the Brazilian midfield and defense. When rivals were able to complete the moves, goalkeeper Letícia appeared well and reassured the team.

Chile was barely trying to recover from the second goal when the ball was left for Luana, after another attack from Brazil, and the Corinthians player scored a beautiful goal. She had time to dominate and adjust the ball to make an accurate shot.

With 3 to 0, the team did not pull the handbrake. From the sidelines, coach Pia Sundhage encouraged her players. She, however, was aware of the physical weariness of some of them and therefore made several substitutions in the second half.

The national team would use their heads again, in the 4th minute of the final stage, to make it 4-0. This time, the ball came from the left side, in an assist by Tamires for Geyse, who headed it perfectly.

Afterwards, Pia promoted several substitutions and made the 16 thousand people present at the Mané Garrincha stand up to see Queen Marta enter the field. Voted the best player in the world six times, Marta replaced Rafaelle in the 28th minute. He created some good situations and showed how useful he can be in the Cup campaign.

BRAZIL: Letícia; Antônia, Kathellen (Lauren), Rafaelle (Marta) e Tamires; Luana, Duda Sampaio, Nycole (Kerolin) e Ana Vitória (Mônica); Geyse (Andressa Alves) e Gabi Nunes.
