Brazil forward Neymar currently finds himself in the centre of one of the summer’s biggest transfer stories, as rumours of a €222m move to Paris Saint Germain from Barcelona continue to circulate.

However, his international teammate Casemiro says the player would be more than welcome to join Barca’s hated enemies Real Madrid. No player has transferred directly between the clubs since Luis Figo in 2000, when he moved to Madrid from Catalonia.

However, Casemiro says nobody at Madrid would object to the player joining from Barca. Speaking to Globoesporte , the 25-year-old midfielder said: “Why couldn’t he play here at Real Madrid? He would be welcomed by all of us.

“Neymar is a great player, I have admiration for him. He is well advised because his father is a great person and knows what he is doing. Whether he stays or leaves Barcelona, I wish him all the luck in the world.”
