On Wednesday, coach Rogério Micale announced a list of 23 players for Brazil U20’s friendly matches in Mexico, in November.
In the list submitted by the coach who won the Olympic Gold medal for Brazil, some players play abroad, as in the cases of Gérson and Malcom, from Roma and Bordeaux, respectively. Brazil’s U20 side are preparing for the South American Youth Championship to be held in Ecuador next year. The 23 players picked by Rogério Micale should be present for a period of training and matches on the 7th of November. Recently, Brazil U20 clinched the quadrangular championship, a competition that was held in Chile. The participants were Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador and Chile. The decisive match that secured the trophy ended in a 1-1 draw with the Chileans, with Flamengo’s Felipe Vizeu scoring for Brazil.
One new inclusion is defender Luiz Felipe, who belongs to Lazio but is on loan at Salernitana. The player said he was thrilled when told that he was on the list of coach Rogério Micale.
