Fluminense defender Marlon, dubbed the “next Thiago Silva” by several fans, interests Italian side Fiorentina, and it was confirmed by the player’s agent Frederico Moraes.
In an exclusive interview with NETFLU, the agent revealed that he had a meeting with Fiorentina, but says there hasn’t been any official proposal to the player or Fluminense, who holds most of his economic rights. Recall that Barcelona have a preference on Marlon, and therefore have an option to match any proposal. Barça had the same with Gérson who was sold to AS Roma for €17 million. Frederico Moraes said: “Enquiries always happen. It is a normal thing to happen when the market opens. In the middle of the year also, it was same. But we decided to renew, rather than negotiate. Fiorentina’s staff had a meeting with us, but they did not present an official proposal. It is a normal thing to happen. He will stay? Yes. Unless we have a good proposal. We are talking to a Spanish club also, but nothing official.”
