São Paulo playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso has broke his personal record of assists for one club in a single season, after assisting Luís Fabiano’s goal on Saturday.
In the 3-2 victory over Figueirense in the Brasileirão Round-37 fixture at the Morumbi stadium, Ganso provided the assist for Luís Fabiano which took his tally to 14 assists for the year. The number surpasses his own figures at Santos in 2010, when he registered 13 assists. In the Brasileirão, he has 10 assists and is second only to Corinthians midfielder Jádson who has 12. Ganso also equaled the record for assists in a single season. In 2012, he gave the decisive pass for 12 of Santos’ goals, and two more at São Paulo after his transfer. Now he has the chance to break that record against Goiás on Sunday at the Estádio Serra Dourada in the final game of this season’s Brasileirão.
