Willian is one of the several candidates to replace Neymar in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team and he hopes his relationship with Oscar will benefit his chances.

Neymar has been ruled out of the World Cup with a back injury ahead of tonight’s semi-final clash against Germany.

Willian, alongside Luiz Gustavo and Bernard are the possible replacements but the Chelsea midfielder is hoping he can be selected.

And if that is the case Willian believes he and Oscar can work perfectly together.

Fox Sport quoted the 25-year-old, he said on his club and international team mate Oscar: “We have played a lot of games together.

“With Chelsea I played more to the right with Oscar through the middle, but we were free to move around.

“We are very familiar with each other’s game. I know about his skills and he knows mine.

“I don’t think it would be a problem because we have worked together for one year at Chelsea.”

You can get the team announcements and live game text commentary here on Sambafoot this evening from 2000 BST, with the game kicking off an hour later.
