Hernanes is expecting Chile to provide Brazil with a real test in the round of 16 match on Saturday.
The fellow South Americans have enjoyed a fantastic World Cup and surprisingly knocked out reigning holders Spain in the group phase.
And the Internazionale ace admitted Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team can’t afford any more mistakes.
Goal quoted Hernanes, he said: “Chile will be another difficult game. At this stage every game is a final.
“You can no longer afford to make any mistakes. If you lose, your tournament is over.
“Chile have been in fine form and they have an amazing team. They have some superb players. It will be a real test for Brazil to show again what we can do.”
Hernanes will hope to given another opportunity soon and with Paulinho struggling for form he could get an extended cameo against Chile.
The 29-year-old has been an important player for Scolari and will hope to be of use on Saturday as Brazil continue to try and fulfill their destiny.
