Neymar admits Barcelona’s 1-0 win at Celtic was hard-fought, but is pleased to secure a ‘very important’ result.

Francesc Fàbregas’s 75th minute strike was enough to hand Barça the victory.

Gerard Martino’s side are now top of Group H, with six points from two matches.

I"m very happy with the result," Neymar told uefa.com. "It"s especially important to play in this tournament because, for me, it is the best one and this victory was very important for us. It was a great game, a very difficult and tough game physically, but I"m very happy with our victory."

The Brazilian forward played the whole 90 minutes and was involved a controversial altercation with Scott Brown, that saw the Celtic midfielder dismissed early in the second half.

Despite winning their opening two matches, Neymar is not taking qualification into the knock-out stages for granted, while he also had praise for his coach.

"Nothing is easy but we"ll try and get good results in our remaining games to make it as easy as possible to qualify for the next round," he continued.

"Tata [Gerardo Martino] is a great coach. We have not been working together for long but he is a great coach and a great person."

Next up for Barcelona is a trip to San Siro, where they will face Milan. The Rossoneri were 2-0 victors in the same fixture last season.
