Marquinhos has said his goodbyes at Roma ahead of his €35 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian capital this summer, with Barcelona and Manchester United also interested in his services.
And it now looks like the Ligue 1 champions have won the race for his signature, after moving ahead of Barca on Thursday, as Marquinhos has hinted that a move to France is near.
“Thanks to all of you, the fans, the club, my team-mates. Go Roma, go forever and always,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I will never forget what I’ve experienced at Roma. It was a joy for me and I will always carry you in my heart.”
The 19-year-old has attracted a lot of attention this summer after a stellar season in Serie A, making 28 appearances, following his move from Corinthians last summer.
