Galatasaray have announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo from Juventus for a fee of €5 million.
The Turkish club have agreed an initial fee of €4m plus a further €1m in add-ons to take the Brazilian to Istanbul.
The official confirmation was published on Galatsaray’s website, announcing the arrival of the midfielder.
Melo had spent the last two seasons on loan at Galatasaray but returned to his parent club this summer with the two clubs still negotiating over a fee.
But now a compromise has been reached and Melo will now join Galatasaray on a permanent deal.
Melo orginally signed for Juventus in 2009 for a fee of €25m after a superb Serie A debut with Fiorentina the season before.
However, he failed to live up to expectations and the Brazilian will now move to Turkey with his new club.
