In another twist in this transfer saga, Robinho’s move from Milan to Santos is on the verge of collapse again after Coach Claudine Oliveira warned “it might not be plausible.”
Reports suggested last night that the two clubs had agreed a €7 million fee, but now personal terms seem to be a real issue even after the striker agreed to cut his wages, reports Football Italia.
“What I know is that it’s a very complicated negotiation process, especially in economic terms,” Santos Coach Oliveira told newspapers.
“We must verify the situation, but it might not be plausible. If it is and we are able to complete it, then that’s grand, otherwise we’ll go somewhere else.”
Robinho’s agent also confessed that time was running out for any deal, as the deadline for Brazilian clubs to bring in overseas players is July 15. However, the Brazilian Federation seems set to add an extension until July 20.
“The negotiations are continuing and it is not a simple process, so we must hurry,” agent Marisa Ramos told Opovo.
“If there is an agreement, the Santos representative and I would have to go to Italy to resolve the contract and sign a new deal, so it could take a while.
“Robinho is concentrated on pre-season while he awaits a response.”
Brazilian site Lancenet also claims Robinho is asking for £700,000 per season after taxes.
There would also be a commission to his father Gilvan de Souza and agent Marisa Ramos, plus the club must hire his personal trainer Fabio Galan.
