Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has warned that playmaker Hernanes will not be leaving the club this summer.
The Brazil international has attracted the attention of Inter, Manchester City and Milan after some impressive performances in Serie A this season.
However, club president Claudio Lotito has already insisted the player is not for sale, which has now been echoed by the sporting director.
He told cittaceleste.it: “Will Hernanes stay? He’s a staple part of the team.
“There are no ongoing negotiations or requests on his part. The president clearly spoke of what the will of the club is, we do not have to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
“He does not move from here. Lotito was clear.”
Hernanes has netted 14 goals in all competitions for the Biancoceleste this season.
