Botafogo have appointed an agent to find a new club for centre-back Fábio Ferreira, after the former Corinthians defender fell out of first-team consideration in the second-half of the 2012 season.
Fábio Ferreira, 28, has for a long time been an important member of the Botafogo side, but found himself displaced from the first-eleven by the rise of youngster Dória.
Dória may also be set to leave the club in January, but with former Feyenoord and Brazil Under-20 centre-back André Bahia already tied to a pre-contract, Ferreira is unlikely to retain his place.
The mohicaned centre-back joined from Vitória in Botafogo in 2010 and has gone on to make 140 appearances for the Alvinegro, winning a Rio de Janeiro state championship title soon after his arrival.
With no official agent himself, the club have employed a representative to find a suitor for the player with no official offers having arrived to date.
