Santos coach Muricy Ramalho has admitted that AC Milan’s Robinho is on a shortlist of players that the club will pursue in the transfer window.

Faced with the possible departure of Felipe Anderson, Ramalho has compiled a list of names including Robinho, Diego Souza, Nenê, Pablo Aimar and Wolfsburg’s Diego.

The coach told reporters: “What we’re going to do is strengthen, so we will. Now is the time to do it.

“We’ve had long conversations about Robinho, it’s not going to be easy. But it’s an interesting name.”

Ramalho remains adamant that emerging youngster Felipe Anderson will be staying at the club in light of reports linking him to Europe.

“We are not discussing the possiblity. We know Felipe is wanted by clubs in other countries but we are not talking to anyone. It is just speculation.

“He has very good qualities, but he is young and he has to evolve at Santos.”
