Corinthians midfielder Paulinho insists he has yet to receive any proposal from Italian giants Inter Milan, despite reports to the contrary in Italy.
Paulinho, 24, has played a major role in Corinthians’ recent league and Copa Libertadores triumphs and has, for some time, been linked with a move to Serie A.
Despite agreeing a new contract this summer, there are many who believe that the deal was only to keep him at the club until after the Club World Cup in December, before a pre-agreed sale to Inter Milan would take place.
Paulinho, though, denies this speculation and insists that he knows nothing of a bid from the Serie A side.
“Inter? Currently I do not have any kind of proposal,” he said. “I must focus only on Corinthians and getting back into the Brazilian team. Then things will go as they should … “
