Chelsea players David Luiz, Ramires and Oscar will all start for Brazil when they take on South Africa in tomorrow’s friendly at Morumbi Stadium.
Mano Menezes has selected all the three of the Blues representatives for his starting eleven, as he faces important games for his future as the national coach.
The Seleção boss plans on employing the same pressing and attacking system he used during the London Olympic Games, where Brazil had to settle for the silver medal after losing the final to Mexico.
Oscar, who was part of Brazil’s Olympic squad, said: “Surely the fans already expect it. We’ve been doing this before and during the Olympics.
“Despite some setbacks along the way, we will repeat the formula. At Morumbi it will be no different.
“We’re going to do everything to play our football, which is forward, and we always seek the result.”
The 20-year-old joined Chelsea for £25 million earlier this summer, where his fellow Brazilians Ramires and David Luiz had previously signed from Benfica in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
The trio, as well as young Brazilian Lucas Piazón, have all been selected as part of Chelsea’s Champions League squad for the upcoming tournament, as the Blues look to defend their European title.
For Friday’s game, Brazil will be without Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva due to injury.
Daniel Alves could start at right back despite undergoing some less intense training alongside midfielder Sandro, but should he not be fit enough for selection then his Barcelona teammate Adriano could be another option.
The game kicks off at São Paulo’s historic 72,000-seater Morumbi Stadium at 19:45 (BST). Three days later, Brazil will be in Recife to face China in another friendly.
