Brasileirão: Round 10

Grêmio 3-1 Sport Recife

Grêmio climbed into the top four following their 3-1 win over Sport Recife at the Olimpico.

Felipe Azevedo fired the visitors ahead in the 38th minute before former Wigan Athletic loanee Marcelo Moreno equalised just after the hour mark.

Leandro made it 2-1 to Grêmio in the 73rd minute, and then the 19-year-old forward found the target again six minutes later to ensure victory for Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s side.

Santos 0-0 Botafogo

Without Neymar, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Rafael Cabral, Santos managed hold Botafogo to a goalless draw at the Vila Belmiro.

Náutico 3-0 Ponte Preta

Náutico eased to a convincing 3-0 victory over Ponte Preta in Recife, with Kieza bagging a brace.

The former Fluminense forward gave the home side the lead in the 36th minute before Souza made it 2-0 on the hour mark.

Kieza eventually put the game to bed  three minutes from time after some smart play by Rhayner.

Flamengo 0–3 Corinthians

Corinthians cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro.

Douglas found the target twice in the first half before Danilo’s 54th minute strike ensured all three points were going to the Copa Libertadores champions.

The result means Corinthians move up into thirteenth place in the Braisleirão, while Flamengo drop down to tenth.

São Paulo 0-1 Vasco

Fagner scored the only goal in the 48th minute as Vasco beat São Paulo at the Morumbi.

The results means the Cruz de Malta remain second, while the Tricolor Paulista drop down one place into seventh.

Atlético Mineiro 3-1 Internacional

Atlético Mineiro moved two points clear at the top of the table following their 3-1 win over 10-man Internacional in Minas Gerais.

Former Portsmouth loanee Andrés D’Alessandro was given a yellow card after hacking down Leandro Donizete, and then the Argentine immediately talked his way into a red card.

Guilherme opened the scoring for the home side on the stroke of half time before Leonardo Silva blasted the ball into the back of the net on the hour mark to make it 2-0.

Fred managed to pull one back for Inter in the 64th minute, but it counted for nothing as Damián Escudero found the target two minutes into stoppage time to wrap up the points for Atlético.

Portuguesa 0-2 Cruzeiro

After losing their last three games, Cruzeiro got back to winning ways by defeating Portuguesa 2-0 in São Paulo.

Wellington Paulista broke the deadlock for the Raposa in the 78th minute from the penalty spot and Diego Renan added a second goal seven minutes from time.
