Hernanes was injured during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Leece, and scans have shown that the Brazil international has a ”first-to-second-degree tear to his left thigh muscle,” which will rule him out of action between four and six weeks.
The former São Paulo playmaker has experienced a dip in form in recent games for Lazio, but his overall performance over the course of the season has impressed the likes of Juventus, with the Old Lady reportedly weighing up the possibility of signing him in the summer.
Lazio are currently third in Italy’s Serie A champions, three points above Udinese.
