The former Manchester City player has not featured in coach Mano Menezes’ plans since last August – when Brazil were beaten by Germany 3-2 in an international friendly.

However, Robinho told Globoesporte that his main objective is to make the squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The 28-year-old said: “At the right time, the call-up will come. I have to keep working because there are many good players. My objective is 2014.”

When asked about representing Brazil at the Olympic games in London this summer, Robinho said: “I’m available for everything that’s related to the Seleção.

“Mano has a group and the only way to get back in the squad is to play well for Milan.”
