A brace of goals for former-Partizan Belgrade striker Cleo and another two for ex-Fluminense star Dario Conca set Guangzhou on their way to victory, before Muriqui completed the rout late on.

All five goals for the Chinese side were ‘Made in Brazil’, if Argentine Conca can be claimed on the back of his success at Fluminense, and shows the rising strength of Chinese football’s pulling power over the past twelve months.

It was Evergrande’s second game of the season, having won the Chinese Super Cup last week with a 2-1 victory over Tianjin Teda, again thanks to a brace from Cleo.
