The European January transfer window is now fast approaching and the Carioca club will be expecting a fair share of offers in for their star goalkeeper, Jefferson.

The twenty eight year old is currently considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Brazil and is providing Internazionale’s, Julio Cesar, stiff competition for the Selecao’s number one jersey.

However, the goalkeeper insists he’s happy to continue with the Alvinegro club but would be willing to listen to any offers Botafogo receive.

”I’ll be honest, I’m not going to sit on the fence. I’ve had no official proposals yet,” Jefferson said. ”I’m an employee of Botafogo and I’m only thinking about continuing here. If an offer comes in and Botafogo agree, we will have a look. Today, my thought is to continue with the club. I arrived in 2009 when the team was fighting against relegation.”
