With the Corinthians defensive midfielder now on the verge of the national team and also providing some crucial goals in the Campeonato Brasileiro, Paulinho’s reputation has never been higher.

Another reason the player is so attractive to the Milanese giants is his relatively available status. Due to Corinthians owning only 10% of the player’s economic rights, with Banco BMG and Grupo Pão de Açúcar owning 45% each, the club are powerless to resist any outside advances.

According to ‘sources’ close to the footballer, the investors would like between €10 and 12 million for his services and more clubs are taking notice by the week. In July it was Roma, now it is Milan, and others will no doubt join the queue by January.
