The playmaker has been the focal point for the Vasco side in recent times and has been a star man this season, yet has still spoken of his need to take on more responsibilty against Bahia on Sunday.
“I have to get in the game at all times,” said the playmaker. “I’ve asked for my team-mates, when they are on the ball, to try and find me, id they can I’ll be very happy.”
Coach Cristovão Borges plans to utilise Diego Souza as a third striker against Bahia. Elton will play through the centre, with Diego Souza from the left and Eder Luis from the right.
