Talk in recent weeks has been of disputes and players leaving the club, but Felipão is determined to rebuild the squad for next season and bring some long awaited success to Palmeiras fans.
Amongst those rumoured targets are Grêmio’s Douglas and Atlético-GO’s Vitor Júnior, although Scolari also admitted that there will now be several hundred names linked with Palmeiras this summer.
The aim is to provide a greater depth of experience to the first-team squad, so that prospective youngsters can have a greater chance of progression in a settled and confident side.
