Since returning to Brazilian football, Deco have struggled with fitness issues due to recurring injury problems.
This has been met by certain areas of the Fluminense support with distaste saying he is paid too much money and is bankrupting the club.
Deco, who used to play for Chelsea and Barcelona, believes his family shouldn’t have to hear about something as ‘petty’ as money.
Deco said: “My kids have been on the internet since we returned to the country and they shouldn’t have to read that I am ‘stealing’ money away from Flu.
“They now say I don’t play much, which is fair but it is respectful about the salary and it shouldn’t be said”
