Today we will look at the goalkeepers:

Gabriel Vasconelos Ferreira (Cruzeiro): Brazil U20 first keeper, Gabriel is also the younger one (19-year-old) and the most experienced one with 8 caps.  He was Brazil’s keeper in the South American Youth Championship earlier this year that saw Brazil’s victory. Mano Menezes called him once in the first team last year for a friendly against Barcelona B, but Gabriel didn’t play the game. Since 2006 he plays for Cruzeiro.

Aleksander Douglas de Faria (Avai): Aleksander is the oldest player in the team. He comes from Curitiba but made his debut at Gremio before signing at Avai in 2009. He played five games for his current club and only one for the U20 squad. He will be Brazil second keeper in the tournament.

Cesar Bernado Dutra (Flamengo): Amazingly Cesar is the team’s less experienced keeper but still has a lot of trophies on his shelf. He signed at Flamengo in 2010 and the following year won: the Sao Paulo Youth Cup, Rio State Championship, the Guanabara Cup and the Rio Cup with Flamengo’s main team.  But despite the long list of titles, Cesar has little chances of playing in the tournament.
