The European club season is over for most clubs, though the UEFA Champions League final is still upon us. Therefore, the rumor mill is already in full swing, with notable players making headlines. Karim Benzema, for instance, will leave Real Madrid after 14 years at the club.

The Frenchman has reportedly reached an agreement to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ittihad, who would make him the third highest-paid footballer on Earth. In his new club, Benzema would join forces with four Brazilian players.

Benzema would have four Brazilian teammates in Saudi Arabia

Veteran goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe, central midfield Bruno Henrique, attacking midfield Igor Coronado, and striker Romarinho represent Brazilian football at Al Ittihad. All four of them have just helped the club win the Saudi Pro League, beating Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the title race.

With Benzema’s arrival, the Gulf State continues to increase its brand awareness and strengthens its possibilities of signing more world-renowned players. This growth also allows the Brazilians who are in Saudi Arabia to get more attention, like Anderson Talisca did since Ronaldo joined his team.
