Vinicius Junior has recently made plenty of headlines after being victim to yet another episode of racial abuse. Many things have been said since the controversy in Valencia, including that he could reconsider his future in Spain.

The Real Madrid star has suffered from racism in different away games in the 2022-23 LaLiga season, which is why many wonder whether he’d prefer to move elsewhere. However, not only is he determined to battle racism, but his contract would also make a departure practically impossible.

Vinicius’ contract with Real Madrid includes €1bn release clause

Vinicius Junior renewed his deal with Madrid not long ago, committing to stay at the club until the 2027 season. Besides, the club made sure he doesn’t go anywhere anytime soon as the Brazilian has a €1 billion release clause.

Madrid increased his price tag in the wake of the winger’s fantastic performance last season, in which he scored the game-winning goal in the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool.

Vinicius is understood to be one of the highest-paid players in Europe, and despite the rumors that suggested a potential breakup this summer, he doesn’t seem to have any intention of leaving Madrid.

He recently exposed the countless episodes of racial abuse he’s suffered during the season, calling out the Spanish league authorities for their lack of action regarding this topic. However, he won’t give up in his fight.

Vinicius hasn’t addressed the rumors of a potential exit from Madrid, but coach Carlo Ancelotti made it clear the Brazilian loves the club and is comfortable in the Spanish capital.
