Chelsea winger Willian has reportedly rejected a two-year contract extension offer from the club with the player wanting a three-year deal.

The Brazilian joined the club in 2013 and his current deal expires in the summer. The Blues are keen to tie the player down, but not for the length of time he is asking for.

The player is allowed to talk to clubs outside of the Premier League already with Barcelona already heavily linked.

Brazilian sports outlet UOL Esporte claims the club made an offer for a two-year extension recently, which the player and his representatives turned down.

Willian scored in the Blues’ 2-0 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup on Tuesday night before being replaced due to an achilles injury.

Willian told Esportivo Interativo last week, “Chelsea offered me two years, and they are not going to change what they offered.

“I said I wanted three more years. The situation is difficult because of this, I really don’t know if it will be possible.”
