Liverpool midfielder Fabinho says that he has acclimatised to the differences between life in Monaco and life on Merseyside- not least the fervour of the Anfield faithful.

Fabinho joined the Reds from Monaco last summer and took some time to settle into the team. But the player says he has gotten used to the differences between France and England.

“At the moment it has been very good, the time has passed for adaptation, despite being a city that is quite cold. It's a big difference, but it's something that we have to get used to,” he told Gazeta Esportiva.

“Undoubtedly, they are different clubs, Liverpool fans are fanatical and much more numerous. In Monaco it was quieter to go out on a day-to-day basis, here (Liverpool) the staff are always recognised and asked for a photo.

“We feel the difference in games at home as well. The Louis II, despite being a beautiful stadium, is not always crowded, unlike Anfield, where the fans are always singing.”
