Considering goals in a single season, Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato is going through the best phase in his career, finding the net 26 times in 58 games in 2015.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola reports that Corinthians expect Alexandre Pato’s transfer to Tottenham to be closed at any time, as agents Giuliano Bertolucci and Kia Joorabchian are in London to define the details of the proposal to be made. The expectation at Corinthians is that Tottenham are willing to pay up to €15 million. Corinthians would only 60% of the value, as 40% of Pato’s economic rights belong to the player himself. The report states that West Ham and Barcelona were the other two teams with a possible interest in making a proposal for Pato. The deal with West Ham was eventually discarded because it would not involve Kia, as the Iranian’s relationship with the London club is terrible. Barcelona are expected to send their representative to Brazil to observe the player in the final two rounds of the Brasileirão.
