Ex-Manchester United midfielder Anderson found himself the target of indignant Internacional fans at their club’s training centre yesterday.
A group of Colorado supporters, furious at their side’s 5-0 defeat to arch-rivals Gremio in Sunday’s Porto Alegre derby, turned up at yesterday’s training session and hurled abuse against club directors and players, with Anderson the principal target.
The central-midfielder was a product of the Grêmio youth system before moving to Europe, and on his return to Brazil was granted a high salary and long-contract by Inter directors, a decision that looks worse with every game the 27-year-old plays.
