Orlando City SC defender Luke Boden has hailed Kaká’s approach since arriving at the new Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise.

The Brazil international – capped 89 times – signed as a Designated Player with Orlando in July 2014 and has been training with them since a loan spell with São Paulo ended in December of last year.

For Boden, Kaká has already impressed with his attitude and professionalism and the defender sees him as a figurehead for the group.

“He is a fantastic player and he is a great guy to be around,” he said, as reported The Guardian. He is always laughing and smiling; you can’t help but be impressed.

“But what people don’t see is when he is the gym first thing every morning – we see how hard he is working and how that then transfers on to the field.

“Most importantly, the game just seems to slow down when he has the ball and it all comes naturally to him. You can see it.”

Orlando begin their inaugural MLS campaign against fellow newcomers New York City FC on Sunday 8th March at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium.

As well as Kaká, Honduran forward Bryan Róchez has been brought in as a Designated Player, while the squad also includes Brazilian’s Gustavo and Pedro Ribeiro.
