Mexico forward Oribe Peralta has hailed his partnership with Giovani dos Santos.
The duo combined to score El Tri’s only goal in their 1-0 win against Cameroon and though it was Peralta who put the ball in the net, he was still complimentary of dos Santos’ involvement, as well as his overall contribution to the team.
“It’s his goal too,” he told FIFA.com. “He hit the shot, the goalkeeper saved it and the ball fell to me.
”Gio is a player who we all turn to. He helps you a lot out on the pitch, he works very hard and he always looks for a way to get the win for his team.”
