Barcelona defender Dani Alves has apparently set potential suitors Paris Saint-Germain a deadline to try and sign the 31-year-old.

The Brazilian, who played in Thursday’s World Cup opener, has been linked with the Ligue 1 club for the past few months.

And it has been speculated that the Catalan club were open to allowing the former Sevilla defender to move on.

Catalan daily Sport have now insisted that Alves is desperate to seal the move before next weekend so he can start to fully concentrate on the World Cup.

According to the report, PSG have offered €8 million but Barcelona are expected to try and get around double that figure.

Football Espana reported the news and next Sunday is the deadline Alves has put to the Paris club.

By then Brazil will only have one more group game remaining and Alves will hope he can start to fully concentrate on the biggest tournament of his life when his future is settled.
