Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has declared himself unhappy with the attitudes of some of his players ahead of their warm up fixture with Panama this evening.
After a Sunday training session before the game, the boss ranted at reporters: “the marking was sloppy, we left spaces in the middle of the park and took up questionable positions.”
“We can not let our attitude slip a week before the cup. We cannot lose the identity which we forged at the Confederations Cup.”
“I urged them to do what I always do- to be serious and play each match as if it were the last.”
Brazil won that tournament almost a year ago, comprehensively beating Spain 3-0 in the final to leap into contention as favourites for the World Cup in the eyes of many.
The hosts kick off the competition next Thursday against Croatia in Sao Paulo.
