Spain Head Coach Vicente del Bosque remains confident that Diego Costa will be fit for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Atlético Madrid forward, who was born in Brazil but has chosen to represent La Furia Roja, is struggling with a hamstring problem that was aggrivated in Atlético’s UEFA Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

"[Costa is] better but we already know about his muscle injury," insisted del Bosque, as reported by Football Espana.

"It’s understandable. The doctors are optimistic. We’ll consult over it [on Saturday]."

Despite his injury problems, Costa has been named in del Bosque’s 23-man squad. He is one of four attackers selected alongside Fernando Torres, David Villa and Pedro.
