The Brazilian has given his backing to José Mourinho when asked about the outspoken Portuguese coach.

“I am very happy to work with him. Many people ask me what it is like to work with him. Everybody thinks [Mourinho is] bad…arrogant, but I think he fights for the group. He"s giving me a lot of confidence," said Willian, as reported by SporTV.com.

The attacking midfielder may not entirely be in the former Real Madrid manager’s good books, however, as Willian admitted that Mourinho’s attendance record at the English club’s training ground is not exemplary.

“He is almost always there, but does not train every day. Most often it is the assistant coach who takes training."
