Celta Vigo‘s Brazilian striker Welliton has been arrested after committing a series of driving offences during the early hours of Monday morning.
Diario AS reports that local police caught the player speeding and going through red lights at approximately 05:00 in Vigo city centre.
A breathalyser test found Welliton to be five times over the legal alcohol limit and police also discovered that six people were travelling in the vehicle.
The former Goiás, Grêmio and São Paulo forward has made just one substitute appearance for Celta since joining on loan from Spartak Moscow in January.
The Brazilian faces a club fine and is unlikely to feature in the final games of the season against Real Madrid and Valencia.
