Brazil assistant manager Carlos Alberto Parreira has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho remains a key part of the Seleção’s World Cup plans.
The 25 year-old has found himself out of favour at the North London based club in recent weeks, with manager Tim Sherwood suggesting he still needs time to settle in England.
Parreira, however, maintains that Paulinho is a good professional and expects him to continue giving in his best for Brazil.
We obviously take into account what happens to a player at his club, but the most important is how they have behaved while at national team duty,” he said, as reported by The Guardian. “Paulinho has been instrumental for us and we fully trust him to keep doing his job for Brazil.”
